Life goes on....

Man, I can tell you just how much better I feel with some new blood added back in my system but on the flip side, I can also tell you just how exhausted I am still being so extremely anemic due to all the blood loss.  Wow...it doesn't take much and I am wiped out.  Despite it all....life goes on and we have been doing our thing and having fun.

This weather has been crazy!  A few days of Spring weather and then a few days of Summer.  I wish it would make up its mind.

We took advantage of the warm days and did some gardening, played outside in the sprinkler and little pool.  Also used the opportunity to get in and clean out the pool to get it ready for pool season.  We were rebels and actually let the kids get IN the big pool after it was all filled up (I didn't get any pictures of the frozen children...lol) to cool off and satisfy their excitement!  Yes, it was FREEZING but kids are nuts and don't seem to care about that.

Since then we have had cooler days and the kids are so confused.  It is funny and sad.  I LOVE the Spring days and I am in no real hurry for that summer weather back but water fun with my kids is always enjoyable.  I may not always love my house, but I do love hanging out in my yard :-)

Spring Break fun and an update on ME :-)

So the kids were off all last week for Spring Break.  If you know me, you know I always look forward to having my kids home from school, look forward to outings and lots of fun times together.  This week started off pretty good but it quickly became very hard for me.  To sum things up I had been having some very unusually heavy menstral bleeding and this past week made it FOUR weeks.  Yes, I know, I shouldn't have waited that long to be seen but days fly by quickly and I push things aside when it comes to taking care of the kids.  Towards the end of the week I was having a hard time just getting through the day and doing basic tasks.  By Saturday, I could barely walk and ended up having Larry drop me off to the ER.  They saw me and immediately too me to a room.  I was very pale and several pints low on blood.  Normal blood levels should be about 12-14, mine was just  alittle above 6.  I had lost almost 1/2 my blood count.  NO WONDER I was so tired and dizzy...geez!  So they admitted me and started the blood tranfusion.  I ended up being there until Sunday evening and had to have a D&C Sunday afternoon to stop the bleeding and check things out.  I am feeling MUCH better now and taking it one day at a time to get back to feeling "normal" again.

Despite all of this we did manage to have some fun this week.  I took the kids to the park, we played outside, went to Port Discovery and had icecream.  It was good to find out that me being so extra tired was not "all in my head".  Really made me feel better about how I had been feeling all week...LOL

Unfortunately I missed Easter with the kids and my family but Larry and my sister got a few cute pictures to share with me.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this week.

Spring time FUN (lots of pics)

I love this time of year.  This weekend we had fun at our neighborhood party, complete with Easter Bunny and egg hunt.  We saw the Easter Bunny again over at Katrina's photography studio.  Fun, Fun, Fun.  Logan and Gloria are pro's but Landon wanted NOTHING to do with the Easter bunny.  He was hilarious!  We had a great time.  Looking forward to having them all home this week for Spring break! :-)
